The South East Georgia Republican Alliance (SEGRA) is a grassroots, front-line organization encompassing Chatham, Effingham, Liberty, and Bryan Counties in Georgia. This organization is made up of unified Reagan and Trump-minded constitutional conservatives, who believe in small government, lower taxes, free-market capitalism, a strong defense, the right to life, the right to bear arms, and preserving the American dream for the future generations. This organization will work in unity to promote republican representatives who will reflect these principles and values.

This week on July 12th, 2021 A Special executive officer’s virtual meeting was held to discuss forming committees – via Google Meet.

In attendance: Dean Burnette, Sandy Mentzel, Gwen Kasprzycki, Jennifer Salani, Mike Mentzel, and Alex Bogatiryov.

A motion was made by Gwen K and 2nd by Alex Bogey to adopt committees. All were in favor.

Interim Committee Chairs will be appointed according to the draft SEGRA By-Laws and initially run on a 60-day trial basis. Each committee will have an Executive board member liaison. The Exec liaison will help form the agenda and provide development of the committees.

Each committee will have a variety of missions and responsibilities. We will add more committees as we have the people and resources to do so. Our First 3 Committees are:

  1. Local Election Voter Integrity – Executive – Gwen Kasprzycki (Interim Asst. Treasurer) will oversee this committee, a committee chair will be appointed.
  2. Technology and PR Committee – Executive Co-Chairs are Sandy Mentzel and Dean Burnette.
  3. Education Committee – Executive-Jennifer Salandi.

These committees will require a small volunteer army of people. Each committee will be made up of volunteers from the four counties in our charter, they will be led by a committee chairperson who may appoint project managers. The committee chairperson will report to an executive chairperson who will oversee the committee.

For the past six months, this army of volunteers has been ready and willing to serve. Now is the time to mobilize and dig in.

We look forward to working together!

Sincerely,

Dean Burnette
